Apple has just unveiled Logic Pro 11, the newest iteration of its well-known DAW software, along with Logic Pro For iPad 2. This release introduces a suite of features centered around artificial intelligence, aiming to enhance the music production process while keeping users in full creative control

AI-Driven Accompaniment Tools

The new Session Players feature builds on Logic’s popular Drummer tool, now offering a Bass Player and Keyboard Player driven by AI. These virtual musicians can provide accompaniment that responds to your input and style.

Apple collaborated with top bass players to train the AI-powered Bass Player. Users can choose from eight different Bass Players, each with adjustable complexity and intensity settings to match their desired music style. The Keyboard Player also adds versatility by accompanying chord progressions with various chord types and extended harmonies.

• Stem Splitter: This new tool revolutionizes stem separation, swiftly breaking down raw recordings into four elements: drums, bass, vocals, and other instruments

Release Details

Logic Pro For Mac 11 and Logic Pro For iPad 2 will be available starting May 13. Existing users will receive a free update, while new users can purchase Logic Pro For Mac for £199.99 via the Mac App Store. Logic Pro For iPad 2 is available for a monthly subscription of £4.99 or £49 per year.
